Sydney is an amazing city and an unbelievable metropolis. You will love it!
Just walk through the park and look at all the attractions. You don’t need a ticket. And if you still want one afterwards you can always buy one, for us the 60 dollars for a day ticket are back seen too much and not worth it.
A must do is definitely the Sydney zoo. You have to go there by ferry and it is even going but the opera house gives a nice few of the harbour by boat. We loved the animal selection in the zoo as well because they have quite a different selection than the European ones. Tipp: you don’t need to take the bus to the main entrance, just walk to the side entrance a few minutes uphill!
Obviously the Sydney Opera House is a must visit. If you are interested in the opera house from inside there are great tours for about 30 dollars and I would definitely recommend taking one. It is so interesting to hear the background of the unbelievable monument. There is even a cute bar in front of the opera house with a lot of hussle and bussle in the evenings.
Every Saturday at 9pm there is a free firework display in darling harbour. A great quick stop before or barhopping the cute bars and clubs next to darling harbour and also a great walk for the evening to walk to main harbour and watch the people walk by and listen to street artists and grab ice cream.
An exciting part is also climbing the harbour bridge. It costs about 120 dollars but it is a once in a lifetime experience and if you have the money I would definitely do it. Just try to book a tour in the evenings or mornings because it gets really hot during daytime.
A nice stop is to visit manly and walk the little boardwalk to the other beaches next to it. Such a beautiful beach with lots of surfers and also cute cafes and ice cream shops. Perfect for a picnic or just beachday.
I don’t think that I have to say a lot about bondi. A must visit and one of my favourite places in Sydney for sure.
Even Though it is nothing compared to the other botanical gardens in Australia, it is still a nice and cool spot to chill and picnic or go for a run. Very close to the sydney opera house with a nice few to it and a cool down spot for hot days in sydney.
If you have time, then definitely take a day trip to the blue mountains and enjoy the deep forest and the beautiful mountains. Unfortunately we didn’t do it, but if I could go back I would visit them in an instant. Everybody we know loved them.
