In this post you will find the top 5 things to do, when you visit gili trawangan. Perfect for a quick stop after Bali!
If you are planning on visiting Gili T. sometime soon, you have to go snorkeling. You can go by yourself and rent a private boat or go with a group. We went with a group of people and it was really nice and worth the price. The most inexpencive one is Andi’s glass bottom boat directly at the harbour and you will see also the turtles and the underwater sculptures. To visit the underwatersculptures alone with not to many people around you should book a private boat and go as early as possible. But for us was the group tour definetly enough.
If you have 2 hours free, you can walk around the island by foot and stop by some beautiful beaches and swim a little. The other side of the island is very quiet and for you perfect to relax a little and a recommendation if you want to be alone for some time. Many people go around the island by bike, but we wouldn’t recommend doing that, because there are to many passages where you have to push you’re bike.
You are probably on gili trawangan because you heard that this is the party island among them. In the evening it is perfect to eat and drink in one of the cute Bars and Cafes or Restaurants. Just follow the music, most clubs also have great live music.
If you stay longer at Gili t. than you maybe also want to visit the islands next to it. There are many Trips to Commodo island or Lombok or the other Gili islands for you to book. We didn’t do that because we hadn’t enough time, but if we would have stayed longer we for sure would have taken one.
If you want to feel the spiritualy side of gili you have to take a yoga class. I heard many great things about Gili Yoga, we wanted to take one to but it wasnt open on sundays so maybe go there bevore and book one in advance. A friend of us took one and loved it!
Or enjoy a cheap and relaxing massage pretty much on every corner of this island.
Thank you so much for reading this post and i wish you a wonderful holiday on gili trawangan.
