These are the most beautiful places in melbourne and I am going there again, when i come back to melbourne soon. This city is amazing!

1. Queen victoria market

The queen victoria market is a must do! In the mornings there are a lot of delicateses and cafes but also many stands with cute souvenirs etc. In the summer there is a night foodmarkt with street food from all around the world. We were there 2 weeks in a row….that says all i guess:)

2. ACMI

If you have read my post about…you will know about this already but just a quick summary: It is free and about video and graphic design. Perfect for every gaming and movie lover like me.

3. Botanical garden/ moonlight cinema

The botanical garden is also free and perfect for a day to escape the loud city and chill with friends in the garden with good food. The moonlight cinema is part of the botanical garden, every day there is a different movie with the beautiful melbournian skyline in the background. Just keep in mind to buy the tickets in advance and take a blanket with you, because it gets colder at night.

4. Theatre

If you are interested in plays and musicals then definitely visit a theatre there. There are at least 4 of them in the city with a different program from 60 dollars per card. I watched harry potter and the cursed child myself and loved it. But if you are on a budget, then that is not for you.

5. Great ocean road

When you are staying longer in melbourne than you should definitely travel along the great ocean road. I have a seperate post of the great ocean road:

6. Townsville

You want to enjoy the quiet side of the city and visit a little but cute town with a sweet beach? Then visit Townsville! The historian town is cute to stroll through and chill on the beach. There is a cute walk alongside the town and the beach.

7. St. Kilda

There is also St. Kilda. A little bigger than townsville and more tourists, because it is more famous. There is also Luna Park and a bigger Beach. I personally liked Townsville more, but St. Kilda is also very sweet and good for a morning walk alongside the Ocean. Not far away are the famous Bathing Boxes, which are sooo beautiful to look at. In the evening St Kilda is also famous for its penguins when the sun is setting so stay there in the evening and look out the steeg for penguins and the beautiful skyline of melbourne.

8. Phillip island

This island is not far away from Melbourne by boat, but these executions cost a lot and we didn’t do it, because we watched the penguins in st. kilda. We met many people who went there and said that if you just want to do one thing, such as the great ocean road or phillip island do the first. It is for sure a beautiful island with great landscapes and you probably will see more penguins, but for us we just wanted more to go and see the great ocean road.

As you can see, Melbourne has a lot to do and a lot see. Melbourne was after all my favourite city of australia. You will not regret it going there!
