I would totally recommend going to Melbourne for longer if possible because that City has so much to offer for everyone!
On your first day in Melbourne you should just walk around the Melbourne CBD and explore this amazing city with its Chinatown, Flinders Station etc. Grab some food in little Collins street! So many cute Restaurants and little food shops! In the CBD there are also a shopping mall and shops all around the city. In the evening, perfect for sunrise, visit Melbourne’s skydeck, where you can see the city from high up and maybe even have the chance to see a beautiful sunrise over the city.
On the next day explore fed square and visit the acmi museum, which is free btw and covers a great exhibition about games, films and video. Afterwards head to the other side of the river to the national art gallery and take a look at these beautiful paintings and sculptures (also free). Later take a walk along russell street and enjoy the huzzle and buzzle.
On the next day I would go to the Melbourne National Museum and check out their current exhibition. At lunchtime head to st kilda beach and check out one of these restaurants on the beach and enjoy the beach a little! If you still have time check out the parliament house at night! I love it, because it is just so lovely to see the city light up and also the parliament house is so beautiful in the evenings.
Fourth day and i would book a one day trip around the great ocean road and the twelve apostles! If you have more time of course take yourself some more time at this special place and maybe even rent a car for a few days, but if you have limited time a one day trip will do and you see the most important things as well!
Your last day in Melbourne š Chill at the botanical garden and maybe even take a book and some snacks with you to take a nice picnic in the gardens! Not far away from the botanical garden is the shrine of remembrance and the Albert Park (Formula 1 Racing Track).
What is your favourite City in Australia?
Are you travelling to Noosa soon?
